In the beginning, I imagined sharing the dozens of drawings (e.g., maps, infographics, masterplans, etc.) produced from 2010 to 2012 for my MArch thesis, a proposal of regional and urban planning strategies for sustainable development of Shenzhen and The Pearl River Delta.

Since then, I continued to research Shenzhen's urban history, making it the topic of my Ph.D. thesis.

Far from being exhaustive, this blog collects (or at least is going to) materials about Shenzhen, its urban history, cultural geography, and architectural development.

The author's research products (Maps, essays, photographs) will stay side by side with bibliographic references, materials sourced on the web, and any other kind of documentation narrating this city's urban life and evolution.
